Shzzy 8andoo: Reinvention in Motion—Where Trap Soul Meets Cultural Fashion, Powering the New Era, from Letting Go to Moving Forward

During an intimate call, Shzzy 8andoo opened up about identity, evolution, and the intention behind every lane he touches—music, film, and fashion alike. From Harlem roots to Los Angeles inspiration, his story reflects reinvention without erasure, balance without limitation.

Reinventing the Name, Reclaiming the Narrative

Formerly known as Oshay the Villain, Shzzy’s rebrand wasn’t born from trend—but from truth. During a record label meeting in Los Angeles, an A&R executive told him his former name wasn’t “marketable” for trap soul. At the time, Shzzy was making a different kind of music, but that moment sparked something deeper than branding—it ignited self-reflection.

Rather than bending to fit an industry box, Shzzy chose to remix himself. The name Shzzy 8andoo stands as both a reminder of his past and a declaration of who he’s becoming—an artist grounded in lived experience, yet unafraid to evolve.

Harlem, the Bronx, and the Birth of a Persona

Born in Harlem and raised in the Bronx, Shzzy credits New York City with shaping his integrity and approach to life. Known for his swagger and fly aesthetic, he explains that growing up in the slums of NYC required creating an alter ego—a persona that allowed him to survive, adapt, and move strategically.

That alter ego has since matured into Shzzy 8andoo: more self-aware, more intentional, but still deeply rooted in his beginnings.

The LA Effect & the Melodic Rockstar Sound

Los Angeles played a pivotal role in shaping Shzzy’s current sonic direction. Immersing himself in the city’s culture, sound, and pace, he found inspiration not only creatively, but energetically. In LA, he felt distinct, visible, and motivated—no longer just “a needle in a haystack,” as he sometimes felt in areas like SoHo, New York, where many artists chase the same sound.

This contrast fueled his melodic rockstar approach—a fusion of trap soul, emotion, and cinematic presence.

Motion’s 11: Spotlighting His Creative Journey

Shzzy’s album Motion’s 11 is a celebration of his production journey—a project about the people, environments, and creative energy that uplift him.The project immerses listeners in emotion, collaboration, and the fun, raw process behind his craft.

For Shzzy, Motion’s 11 was never meant to be just a collection of songs. It was designed to spotlight how his creative circle inspires him—how every beat, every melody, and every moment is powered by connection.

A Life Number with Infinite Meaning

Deeply spiritual, Shzzy believes in angel numbers—symbols he sees as guidance rather than coincidence. His life number is 8, and it serves as the foundation of his clothing brand, Barbaric.

In spiritual numerology, the number 8 represents balance, order, abundance, and infinity. It reflects resilience, discipline, and the ability to build materially while staying aligned internally. For Shzzy, the number is a reminder that structure and freedom can coexist—that wild creativity doesn’t have to mean chaos.

Barbaric, relaunched in November 2024, embodies that philosophy. Every piece is hand-printed, manufactured, and shipped by Shzzy himself—an extension of his belief that balance, creativity, and hustle are inseparable.

What’s Next

Currently, Shzzy is enjoying the rollout of See You L8r (Deluxe), but his vision extends far beyond music. His primary focus is growing Barbaric into a cultural force—helping people feel right, look right, and move with unapologetic confidence.

"Be Wild, Regret Never"

Shzzy understands that when you step into your higher self—when you live boldly and outside the norm—some people may label it as “too much.” But that’s exactly the point. His message is simple: be wild, regret never. He wants his audience to embrace their individuality fully, without shrinking or apologizing.

When people listen to Motion’s 11 or follow his journey, Shzzy hopes they take away one thing above all else: permission—to evolve, to let go, and to be exactly who they are.
