Every once in a while, you come across a creative whose consistency, vision, and dedication remind you what it really means to build something bigger than yourself. For me, that person is Nolan Winfield.
Born in Massachusetts and now based in New York City, Nolan is not only a senior journalism student at St. John’s University — he’s also the founder of Sounds of the Future TV, a platform that has already made major waves by amplifying the voices of artists, creators, and storytellers across music, film, and culture.
What started as a simple interview series has grown into a full-on creative hub, amassing over half a million views across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok while collaborating with rising talent, clothing brands, and content creators.
What I love about Nolan is his consistency. Day in and day out, he pushes his vision forward — posting content, refining his platform, and staying locked in on his bigger picture: turning Sounds of the Future TV into a global brand that’s part media house, part music label, part film studio, and fully dedicated to uplifting talent.

His newest project, OBSCURA, feels like the ultimate proof of that vision. Dropping August 29, 2025, the project isn’t just an album — it’s a curated album and short film experience that fuses music and cinema into one. From serving as executive producer and curator of the music to writing, producing, and co-directing the film, Nolan is putting his full creative stamp on this work.
With festival submissions in the pipeline and a NYC premiere planned this fall, this moment is more than just a release — it’s the launchpad for the next era of Sounds of the Future TV.
Nolan Winfield is one of those rare creatives who remind us that when you stay consistent, committed, and intentional, the future isn’t just ahead — it’s already here!
