Gnocchi on 9th: A Hidden Gem in the Lower East Side

Gnocchi on 9th is a cozy little hole-in-the-wall spot tucked away in the Lower East Side. For just $10, you can grab a full order of gnocchi, made fresh to order with a variety of sauces to choose from. The location is small, so there’s no indoor seating, but there are standing tables outside where you can enjoy your food.

The gnocchi texture isn’t your traditional pillowy soft — it’s a little different, but still pleasantly enjoyable. I went with the Alla Vodka Gnocchi. It was rich, creamy, and had a nice kick to it. I added all the toppings to get the full experience, though the chili flakes were a little too much for me. One surprise — the mozzarella cheese ball on top was cold. It caught me off guard, but honestly, I didn’t mind it.
Overall, I highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the neighborhood!
Some sauce options include:
Vodka Gnocchi
Truffled Burrata
Pumpkin Gnocchi
Alla Vodka
