Straight out of Yonkers, New York — NEWYORKCHINO is stepping into a new era. At 26, the rising artist, producer, and co-owner of a studio with his brothers and team, IMPACT (which stands for Inspire, Motivate, Protect, Assist, Communities Together), has his eyes set on one goal — to inspire his generation and the next through transparency, creativity, and purpose.
Music has been part of Chino’s DNA since middle school, but lately, the focus has shifted to transformation — both sonically and personally. His upcoming project, A Sunny Day in New York, is more than just another EP. It’s a reflection of growth, healing, and evolution.
“The title honestly came from me turning 26 and entering a new phase of my life,” Chino shares. “I wanted to see real change — not just talk about it. A lot of people talk about healing but never actually put the work in to do it.”
After the recent passing of his grandfather, music became Chino’s way to process grief and channel motivation. Each record carries that mix of reflection and resilience — the kind of music that hits when you’re in grind mode or need a reminder of what you’re pushing for.

Producing His Own Lane
For this project, Chino took the reins creatively, producing most of the tracks himself. While he’s worked with other producers before, this time around he wanted to showcase more of his range — from chopping soulful samples to crafting beats that carry a unique New York edge.
Engineering has always been his lane — self-recording is second nature — but when it’s time for the final polish, Chino locks in with his brother Chris Benz, who’s featured on the standout single “LIFESTYLE.”
“Lifestyle was just a taste of what’s to come,” he explains. “The whole project has that same energy — growth, hunger, and a new level of confidence.”
The Sound of Growth
Tracks like “Simple Days” capture Chino’s current mindset — venting through motivation, balancing ambition with introspection. “That’s one of those songs I play when I’m working out,” he admits. “The instant beat drop just gets me going. I love records that make you feel something.”
There’s a raw authenticity to Chino’s process. He doesn’t overthink it — instead, he lets the vibe lead. “I try not to force creativity,” he says. “Even though as artists sometimes we have to, I like to start my day writing a few bars, just to get my thoughts out. Then when I’m in the studio, I’ll load up a sample, make the chop, and build from there. Most of the time, what I wrote earlier just flows naturally.”
Chino values solitude when creating — a rare focus that allows him to dig deep. Still, he’s intentional about pushing himself to collaborate more, stepping out of his comfort zone, and expanding his sound.

A New Era for NEWYORKCHINO
A Sunny Day in New York symbolizes the moment Chino decided to stop dimming his light. It’s confident, vulnerable, and unapologetic — a sonic snapshot of an artist finding his stride.
“This project just shows growth,” he says. “I’ve gone from being real vague about certain situations to getting more detailed. I’m usually humble and antisocial, but I’m starting to see the brighter side of things and get more confident about who I’m becoming.”
And this is only the beginning. Expect more visuals, more behind-the-scenes content, and a deeper look into Chino’s producer and engineer side as the year rolls out.
“I’ve got so many ideas I’m excited to bring to life,” he says. “I like being hands-on with the visuals — editing, storytelling, all of it. You’ll definitely see more of that by the end of the year.”
Stay tuned — NEWYORKCHINO and the IMPACT team are building something special. More music, more motivation, more movement.
