Shzzy 8ando is more than just a music producer from the Bronx—he’s someone who, as he puts it, “lives and breathes music.” Raised in a household where creativity thrived, Shzzy 8ando was surrounded by music from the very beginning. His father worked in the music industry, while his mother filled her church with her voice, giving him a foundation rooted in both artistry and soul.
Surprisingly, his own musical journey didn’t truly begin until college. Encouraged by a close group of friends, Shzzy 8ando started to dive deeper into his craft, eventually shaping the path that led him to the stage. A pivotal moment came when he opened for R&B icon Mya, an experience that confirmed his music was ready to resonate with a wider audience.
Finding his own sound wasn’t easy. “I had the cadences,” he admits, “but I wanted to separate what I was doing as a producer from who I wanted to be as an artist.” His music, often drawn from lived experiences, became the outlet he needed. “A lost love, an opportunity wasted, a life I see for myself—my day-to-day memories and aspirations shape what I talk about in my music.”
Resilience has been a defining theme of Shzzy 8ando’s career. Despite being involved in multiple car accidents, he never lost sight of his goals. Reflecting on those challenges, he shares:“The disrespect the industry—as well as the world—shows you when you’re wounded can really tear down your mental state if you let it. But it taught me to carry unwavering kindness toward everyone I meet, without giving away unwavering trust.”
