February kicked off with monumental moments at the 67th annual Grammys, where the best recordings, compositions, and artists were honored and celebrated. With incredible performances from artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, The Weeknd, and many more, the audience both at home and in person had an unforgettable experience.

The "Short & Sweet" pop princess Sabrina Carpenter not only delivered a show-stopping performance, bringing back the true essence of musical theater, but she also took home the win for Best Pop Vocal Album. A standout moment was Taylor Swift being spotted standing and singing along in full excitement during Carpenter's performance, showcasing her support for the rising pop star.

As the night continued to have historical moments, Recording Academy's CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., expressed changes made to the GRAMMYs voting process taking accountability for when the Weekend publicly declared his boycott. After transparent remarks from Harvey Mason Jr. he introduced The Weekend. The Weekend followed the introduction by singing two new songs from his just-released album “Hurry Up Tomorrow.” He opened with “Cry for Me” and followed it with “Timeless.”
Historic Wins & Achievements
Doechii’s win for Best Rap Album proves that hard work and dedication pay off when the stars align. Fans reminisced over an old video that resurfaced after her win, showing the moment she was fired from her 9-5 job before fully committing to her music career. In a category where only two women had previously won, Doechii became the third woman in Grammy history to take home Best Rap Album. In her heartfelt speech, she thanked God and her mother for standing by her through her sobriety.

Beyoncé made history once again, winning three Grammys for Best Album, Best Country Album, and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. By winning Best Country Album, she became the first Black woman to take home the award. Her reaction was priceless, displaying genuine shock. Daughter Blue Ivy gently tapped her mother’s side, bringing her back into the moment. Their bond continues to be a beautiful and motivating force, as Beyoncé supports Blue in gracefully stepping into the entertainment industry.
Artists Using Their Platforms for Change
Many artists used their Grammy stage not only for celebration but also to amplify the voices of the movements they stand for. Shakira spoke up for immigrants and hardworking women in the U.S., Alicia Keys empowered communities, and Chappell Roan delivered one of the most talked-about speeches of the night.
Stepping onto the stage for Best New Artist, Chappell addressed the entire room about her experience working with labels. She called on labels and industries to allocate the millions of dollars they generate through artists into livable wages and healthcare for talent. The room was filled with emotion as many related to her words. She stated, “It was so devastating to feel so committed to my art and feel so betrayed by the system, and so dehumanized to not have health care.” It was a true display of using a platform to raise awareness and demand change.
While the night continued with beautiful moments there were also show stopping moments that left viewers hooked to the content being released from the night. Ye West and his wife Bianca Censori made an entrance that left everyone talking. Ye arrived in his signature all-black look—clean and simple. Bianca, standing beside him, wore a black fur coat that covered her entire body. Once the couple reached the middle of the carpet, they exchanged a few words before getting into position. Ye stood firm, a few steps behind Bianca, as she turned her back to the cameras. In what felt like slow motion for viewers, she dropped her fur coat halfway, teasing a glimpse of her sheer dress. When the coat fully hit the ground, shockwaves rippled across the audience—she was in a transparent, barely-there dress that left nothing to the imagination.

As she turned to reveal the front, everything was visible. From nipples to vag*na, Bianca walked the 2025 Grammys carpet nearly naked. While almost every action Ye takes carries a message, this moment sparked debate. With a significant number of children present at the Grammys this year, many questioned whether this was the right time or place for such a statement, given the industry's current political climate.
The night was filled with unforgettable moments, each one adding to the legacy of the Grammys. As we look ahead, it will be exciting to see what all of the winners and nominees continue to accomplish throughout 2025. I encourage all music professionals to use the Grammys as motivation to keep striving, working hard, and never giving up on their dreams.
